Advisors eager to learn more about values-based investing
The demand for values-based investments is growing. Younger clients − and women in particular − are showing strong interest in impact-driven strategies and they expect their advisors to be equipped to respond. Last year, research from Praxis Investment ManagementTM suggested that advisors who haven’t engaged with faith-based investing are missing out on the opportunity to connect more deeply with these clients.
For a firm like Praxis, whose mission is rooted in stewardship investing, our motivation for attending the Invest in Women conference, organized by Financial Advisor Magazine, was twofold: to listen and learn directly from women advisors and to offer resources so that advisors can feel prepared and confident addressing values-based investing with prospective and existing clients.
From conversations with folks who stopped by our booth, advisors reiterated over and over that values-based investing is something that clients are interested in and asking for but didn’t always feel fully supported by their firms.
As more clients recognize that their investments can have real-world impact, conferences like Invest In Women can be an important resource for advisors exploring this niche, and Praxis can help advisors navigate those requests by providing education and practical fund solutions, and values-aligned guidance for their clients.
Practical topics advisors are eager to explore include:
- How to begin and guide values-based conversations with clients
- How different fund families approach values-based investing
- How to discuss trade-offs, limitations, and performance
- How to share ongoing impact through reporting and client resources

Looking ahead, our experience at the Invest In Women conference underscores what we already know: advisors want to serve their clients well, but many are still building the tools and confidence to do so in the context of values-based investing. By showing up in these spaces − listening, educating, and offering practical solutions − we are better equipped to serve as partners for advisors who are ready to meet the growing client interest in faith-based and values driven solutions.
