Comcast's Green Financing Framework determined how the funds could be used to for eligible projects relating to renewable energy, energy efficiency, green buildings, clean transportation, and circular economy. The framework additionally describes Comcast’s goal to reach carbon neutrality by 2035.
According to Comcast's 2024 Green Bond Report, the $955 million in proceeds were fully allocated to eligible green projects. These proceeds generated impact by numerous measures, such as:
- 1.2 million sq feet new or expected certified green real estate
- 84,000 metric tons of waste diverted from landfills
- 1,200 mtCO2e annual GHG emissions reduced
- 13,600 MWh annual reduction in energy consumption
- 300 mtCO2e annual GHG emissions avoided (renewable energy)
